Pack Monadnock

July 24, 2010 By JulieK

We love the mountains!!! (as you can clearly see from MANY of my projects :)  Pack Monadnock is a favorite because you can hike it (it's not too hard, we've done it when the puppy was only 6 months old) and you can also drive up the summit road… for days when we're out in the "race car" or just too lazy to climb but want the "mountain."  Plus, did you check out the family picture?? Thanks so much to the random very nice person who offered to take a family shot for us!!!  I knew they must be OK 'cause they were carrying around their neck the same camera we have :) anyway… Here's a layout that I did last night… I used Bo Bunny patterned paper that I've been hoarding for several years… I'm cleaning out for a scrapbook yard sale and have decided that I REALLY need to use the papers that I love, and not just store them :)  Hence, this layout and the Pinewood Derby one too… Use it or lose it :) The alphas are QuicKutz "Supermarket" a new favorite!! and I think that the small one is "Sticky Note" but I have to double check that one :)

Also, trying to hit a goal of make cards with the scraps as you go along, then you always have plenty of cards at your disposal… So, when the layout was finished, here's the card I made with some of the scraps!

June Crop Shop Projects!

June 27, 2010 By JulieK

I am so honored to have been chosen to be a part of The Crop Shop's Design Team!! It's quite a little ride to get there, but well worth the trip :)  Here are the projects that I completed for June…

Using the FABULOUS American Craft summer papers and elements, I created these 2 layouts and card… There may be a couple more cards coming, I still have a pile of scraps to use up… These 2 layouts will be a class at the store a little later in the summer :)

Summer Lovin' 12×12 Layout using American Crafts Patterned Papers (I cut the titles from a patterned paper) American Crafts Cardstock, and the adorable little Crab is also American Crafts :)

Summer Lovin

This layout was also created using American Crafts Patterned Papers, Cardstock, and the title cut from the same paper as the above titles…

And then this adorable card:

In my package I also got a big stack of Basic Grey Patterned Papers, and the Chipboard Shapes from the Cappella, I made this Father's Day album using the Maya Road Chipboard TShirt Album and those pretty papers… The Alphabet on the front is QuicKutz Diesel.

Babies and Birthdays!

May 2, 2010 By JulieK

I know I have mentioned it before… but I just LOVE to make things for babies :) I firmly believe that ALL babies should have something homemade for them… and I do my best!  This is the blankie, gift bag, and matching card/envelope that I made for our cousin Beth, who's wonderful shower was this past weekend… I know I always say this too :) BUT I just LOVED how this blankie turned out, the yarn was so soft and cozy… Congrats to Mom and Dad, and Welcome (in about a month or so) to the new baby!

The blankie…

This is the plain white gift bag that I decorated… That beautiful flower was made by me at the Design Team meeting we had 2 weeks ago at The Crop Shop in Rockland… It was my first meeting of all the wonderful ladies there, and several had little projects for us to all do… this FAB flower design was taught to us by Nancy!

Here's a closer up photo of the decoration…

Jillibean Soup!

March 13, 2010 By JulieK

If you haven't seen the Jillibean Soup papers (and I also got some of their corrugated alphabets) you're missing out!! These papers are just fabulous!! I got a newsletter from a local scrapbook store that they got these fabulous papers in, and 2 days later I read that Jillibean Soup was having a Design Team Call! What a perfect excuse to "have" to go to the scrapbook store!!  They wanted to see 2 layouts/and or/2 cards/ and or/ 1 project… Well, once I got scrapping, I couldn't stop… So, I made everything :) Here's what I came up with… I hope they like them!

This Layout uses the beautiful Jillibean Soup patterned papers, the alphas are cut using QuicKutz Katie and Santa's Workshop, the QuicKutz Grass die, and the Martha Button Punch with a little bit of May Arts twine.

The kids had a FABULOUS time riding around the back yard in their own little car… Jillibean Papers, Jillibean Corrugated Letters, a few little brads and Bazzil Cardstock.

More of those fabulous Corrugated Letters (I bought all the colors the store had :) ), plus a scrap of the Jillibean Soup paper and Kraft… LOVE their Kraft!!

Who could resist those springy papers for a fun birthday card?? Not me :)  A little piece of sheer ribbon set off the beautiful Jillibean Soup Patterned Papers!

And… My Favorite… A few pages from a little mini-book for Kathryn's 6th Birthday… Fabulous Jillibean Papers, a ColorBok chipboard book, some Maya butterflies, Prima Felt Flowers, and a package of Junkitz buttons that have been sitting in my craft stuff for years, just waiting for the "right" project :) The fonts on the cover are QuicKutz Rainbow (happy) and Katie (6)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

February 18, 2010 By JulieK

Here's a few little things I made for Valentine's Day… I used scraps for the tags (My Mind's Eye patterned papers) These 2 little bags with the handmade tags were for the kids :)

For Kathryn:

For Sean:

For Mike, I used this card (That I made a while ago for a challenge) and decorated the envelope with some extra diecuts from the kids' bags…

Then one more little tag that I made just because I had extra pieces :)

Valentinetag

I also made all the kids' valentines for school… but they took them to school before I could take a pic of them… I used the same Sizzix scallop tag, and the patterned papers, plus some glitter paper hearts attached to Valentine pencils :)
