A Year of Zutter… And a giveaway!!

October 19, 2009 By JulieK

I can't believe that it's already been a year on the Zutter Design Team… It seems like just yesterday we were on our way to the Ice Cream Social at the kids' school when I checked my email and squealed loud enough to concern my husband while he was driving!!! And here we are, just over a year later having been dubbed the "OZZ" (AKA Original Zutter Zisters)

At the end of our reign, our fabulous DT leader (Nan) had the idea that we should commemorate they year with a swap… So we each designed a set of 8×8 pages with a picture of ourselves, and a collage of our favorite projects from everyone else!! What a fabulous idea!!! Our last package included a complete set of everyone's pages, and also, a DT TShirt (wrapped in a pretty name-tag, which I used on my inside cover…) and the wonderful new coveralls with the matching page protectors!!!  The new page protectors are fabulous, I have the ones that you can re-position without un-binding!!! Brilliant!!

Before I show pics of my completed book, my "Year of OZZ" Lets get to the giveaway!! Each of us who are participating will be giving away an 8×8 coverall, and a set of page protectors!! All you have to do to enter is to post a comment here on this post… I'll randomly pick a winner from all the comments on 10/26. I hope you all enjoy this project as much as I did making it!! **Don't forget to visit the other OZZ'ers blogs(their links are in the sidebar) to enter their contests as well**

I had such a wonderful time on the Zutter team!! It was my first manufacturer team, and I've spent the year making some of my most favorite projects!! I'm thrilled that we'll be staying on as OZZ, so you'll still be seeing lots of Zutter projects :) Actually, you would anyway because I love mini-books, and Zutter makes them so easy :)  Anyway, without further ado :) Here's my OZZ book :)

Newest Silhouette Release!!

August 28, 2009 By JulieK

Check out the newest QuicKutz Silhouette release this week!! It is full of fantastic frames and shapes to make your scrapping easier!! I just love the collage frames, they're so versatile, you can use them for layouts, or cards, or projects… Here's a few of my projects with this release…

This layout features a collage frame, and made scrapping these pics from a recent day trip into Boston so quick and easy!! The State House, Constitution, and view from the top of the Bunker Hill Monument. The patterned papers are Collage Press.

I used this frame to create the layout, tuck the photos behind, and you're done in a jiffy!

If you follow my blog, you know that I love to use things in different ways, and I love to be able to create a couple projects from one cut… Here's 2 cards that I made using the same shape… I cut the photomat_2057 and used the actual mat for the first card, then used the cut out squares for the second card! One cut, 2 cards… So much fun!!  The Love card uses My Minds Eye patterned papers, and the Faith card uses Paper Loft papers.

Another fabulous addition to the release were phrase circles… Anything in a cricle is just a wonderful addition to any card or layout!! Here's a card using the phrase_circle_2101and Chatterbox papers

Welcome Back

August 13, 2009 By JulieK

Here's a little project I worked on yesterday… You'll see my new obsession with my copics and stamps coming out in the next few days!! This little project uses a template that I found on Split Coast Stampers for a drink hanger… I used a couple scraps of Scenic Route paper, and this fun KLM digital stamp (digital stamps are so much fun!! I printed a bunch while I was printing, and will be sharing a few more soon!) I will be making another one of these and sending them in on the first day of school with the kiddos. On hand, we had some Lollipops, but I'll prpbably use the little drink packets instead.

New Zutter Project

August 3, 2009 By JulieK

If you haven't done so recently, check out the Zutter Zisters site, the fabulous Design Team members have beautiful projects posted every month… So much inspiration!!!

Here's a little peek at one of my projects for August… I just love the Cover All's, and the flat spine is my favorite… The beautiful Bo Bunny papers are so easy to work with, the project practically makes itself!!  I used Bo Bunny papers, a few little Robin's Nest Dew Drops on the centers of the flowers, a little bow, and that stamped and colored hummingbird… Testing out my new copic markers :) Inside is cream colored paper for journaling or sketching, or whatever you'd like :)

3 new projects!

July 19, 2009 By JulieK

I've been on a crafting-roll!! Here's 3 projects I've just completed, but I can only show you 2 :) The third one (the layout) also features a new QuicKutz shape… I'll post it as soon as the shape is released… They all feature papers by Bo Bunny… You know me… I have a "thing" for pretty patterned papers, and Bo Bunny is among my favorites! They have sneak peeks of the new lines on their blog right now, and they are fabulous!! The Halloween Line has Googly Eyes!! What could be better than that :)

Love this little house, it's a Maya Road chipboard house, covered in the Bo Bunny papers

Then there's this card… I hand cut various sized "flower" shapes, crinkled and inked them, then made them into the flower… I also cut the word strips from another paper…
