For my Mother-in-Law :) I know that she checks in on my blog, and is such a huge supporter of my crafty-efforts… So, I made this layout for her.. Thanks so much for all your support and encouragement! The photo is from Kevin's wedding this past October. If I did my math correctly my parents in law have been married for 45 years (or coming up is the 45th year… I can barely keep track of my own anniversary!!) And, they're such an inspiration for happy marriages!!! It's pretty rare these days to find 2 people, married for so long, who still genuinely like each other :) I used papers, elements, ribbons, stickers all by Little Yellow Bicycle, and American Crafts Cardstock. The scallop was made with the QuicKutz border scallop, and the heart was hand cut from corregated paper.
So Happy!

Try the “Fake Crying Thing”
So last night Mike and I were going to a fundraising dance… On Wednesday, Kathryn and I were walking in Andover Center while we waited for Sean to come out of school… We walked past a little boutique dress shop that had THE CUTEST dress in the window… I figured, what the heck, it can't hurt to try it on, right?? So, the next day, after I got Sean, we went in… I talked to the very nice sales person, and she said that they had just come in the day before and it made her smile, so she had to put it up in the window :) Anyway, she has it in my size, and she sets up the dressing room… Well, I start to put it on and I see the price tag… ummmmm… $485. OMG… So, I'm there, and I still try it on… It's really fabulous!! The sales person took a peek and agreed :) Anyway, I thanked her for her time, hung it back up and we went back to the car :) That's just silly, I didn't pay that much for my wedding dress!!! Anyway, we're in the car on the way home and I said "So guys, do you think daddy will give me $500 to buy a pretty dress???" And Sean chimes in from the back seat… "Mama, you should try the Fake Crying Thing… That always works with Daddy"
OMGosh, I nearly drove off the road!!! They know they've got Daddy wrapped around their little fingers :) Oh, and I tried it, and I guess it only works with the kids :) I wore last year's Christmas Concert dress to the party, and looked very pretty for whole lot less than $485 :)
The Birthday Bike
Happy 5
At the wonderful crop this weekend, I created this book for Kathryn's 5th birthday :) The book is a Cosmo Cricket Blackboard book, but I turned it sideways, put ribbon on the holes, and then Zuttered it :) Is Zuttering a verb?? :) I used the FABULOUS new My Mind's Eye papers that Laurie just got into the store… OMGosh!! Love them!! And of course my QuicKutz :) Can't scrap without my alphas!!
