Happy 50th Anniversary!
This August my wonderful in-laws celebrated their 5oth wedding anniversary. I think it’s remarkable to have 2 people spend THAT much time together and still genuinely like each other :) The party was this weekend, and I made a little something for the happy couple… I had lots of ideas, but what finally came to be was a quilt. This quilt has exactly 50 different fabrics included!! The pattern is a Single Irish Chain, done with 48 hand painted Batik fabrics, plus plain white for the front, and the white on white print for the back. I also added the word “love” in script along the entire border in a light pink thread. Here’s the final result…
