I have been JUST BURSTING since I got "the call" on Christmas Eve day… that I made the Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine Dream Team!!!!!!  They just finally made the big announcement this morning!!!!  I loved my entry (4 projects and an essay) BUT I always love my entries to the major contests… They had originally planned to make the calls on the Friday before Christmas, and when my phone was silent all day, I just set it aside in my mind… So, on Monday, when my cell phone rang at about 1:30 in the afternoon, I didn’t give it another thought when I answered it… It was Cindy Wyckoff, Editor in Chief of Scrapbook Dimensions, calling me to tell me that I won one of the spots!!! I nearly fell over, and am sure that I had nothing even vaguely intelligent to say!!! I’m pretty sure I said "Oh my God" and "Thank you so much" other than that it was a blur!!!!

Everyone is so frantic this time of year… we’re all in a hurry to get things done, and when people are frantic, it’s so easy to be concerned only with what we’re doing… So here’s something to think about and do… Something small that will bring a smile to someone’s face… A Random Act of Kindness… Let someone in a car who’s been waiting to pull into traffic go in front of you… Smile and say "good morning" to someone… A simple act can really make someone’s day!! This morning, I was in line at Dunkin’s at 6:20 am, an ungodly hour when it’s snowing and crappy outside… and I decided on a whim to pay for the coffee of the person behind me in line… brought a smile to MY face, and hopefully to theirs too :)  But it doesn’t have to cost anything, a simple smile and wave can turn around someone’s day!! Try it!!
