I know I've been a very bad blogger :) Spring has been very busy!!! Lots of projects going on… But I had to share this story…

We were riding along in the car, and Sean piped up from the back seat… "Mom, when I grow up, I wanna be a Rock Star!"

So, I said, "Cool, sound like a fun job!!"

Kathryn says "I know what I wanna be, but I can't be what I wanna be…"

So, being "uber Mom" I immediately launch into "well, of COURSE you can grow up to be whatever you want to be!!!  It wasn't too long ago that Barack Obama wouldn't have been allowed to vote, but he's the president of the United States now… Of Course you can be anything!!!"

I wait a minute, and say "Honey, what did you want to be when you grow up?"

Her answer: "A Mermaid"

ummmm… well, hmmmm, OK, maybe you can't be a MERMAID… ummmm…  We can take swimming lessons, and learn to swim like a mermaid :) Note to Self: I need to wait before I launch into the speech :)

So she decided… Now she's going to be either a Princess or a Fairy…  Ok :)

I lost my Gram this morning…  She was 97 and I think the spunkiest person I've ever known… She would always let you know exactly what she was thinking it, when she was thinking it (OK, so this isn't always the best thing :) Especially when you're walking through Walmart, and Gram tells you EXACTLY what she thinks of the outfit of the person standing in front of you in line… But, afterall, she was only saying what I was thinking :) )  She's had a very difficult year, and I know that she is finally at peace and happy… Up until last spring, I always said that she was sharper than me… She had an incredible life, and I'm so glad I was a part of it… But I am incredibly sad… She's a pretty special lady…

My stuff is number 36… I took pics of My portable scrap stuff 'cause I have no place downstairs to
scrap at home (if I scrap at home, it's on the kitchen counter)… AND my Silhouette on the Diningroom Table (which will have to move soon 'cause Easter is at our house!

I can't be the only one that remembers that show, right??  Well, I believe I have my own Punky Brewtser living here in my house :) Here was Kathryn's outfit for the day… Pink glitter shirt, flower applique jeans, Green mini skirt, pink Crocs, and to make her mother happy, a yellow sweatshirt… It's not short-sleeve weather yet… To top it off, pink sunglasses and visor…  She must get her fashion sense from her Dad ;)

Although it may not be short-sleeve weather… It was sunny, and we went out to play… We picked up some squirt guns at the dollar store the other day, and they had a ball squirting each other!!  The only rule… Don't shoot Mama, 'cause she has the camera!!
