We had a super crazy day on Wednesday, you know the kind… We had to be in 3 different places at once and that lasted all afternoon… After we finally got everything done, we finished with both baseball and t-ball, and finally on our way home at about 8pm (the kids were in the wrong baseball pants, but that's a whole other story :) )… We're driving along, and we have this conversation…

Kathryn: Mom, my friend Ashley told me a lie… it's not nice to lie, right?

Me: That's right, it's not nice to lie, what did she say?

Kathryn: She told me that her Mom was the best Mom in the whole world… and I know that's a lie 'cause YOU'RE the best Mom in the world!

Me: (practically in tears, how cute is she????) Well, Kathryn, that's not really like a lie, it's more like an opinion… I'm glad Ashley thinks her mom is great, and I'm glad that you think I am too :)

Kathryn: nope, it's not an opinion, it's a lie

Speaking of cute :) She also lost her first tooth this week :) I'll post the pics when I get home…

Had a beautiful Easter today… Here's a few of my favorite photos!!

 

 

Here's a few pics from about 6 houses downhill from ours… The road was under construction from the last storm that took out half of one lane of the road, and knocked a home off its foundation…

Here's what the road looked like with the water flowing down it while they were trying to fix it…

Here, they built a dam across the road, and diverted the water across the lawn and down into the golfcourse behind…

And here's the view (from a little further uphill) after they diverted the water… yup, those are the water, sewer and gas lines completely exposed by the running water…
 

Yikes! I've never been so happy that we're at the top end of the hill!!

I don't know exactly when it happened, but Finley is looking so "Big Dog" lately… Could be that he weighs 65+ lbs now (and he was 33 lbs when we got him at 5 months old)… Here's a baby pic from just after we got him…

Well… At some point I'm going to have to admit she's no longer a baby… but I'm not ready!! Here's a few pics from Kathryn's big 6th birthday, it was a simple day of lunch at the Rainforest Cafe followed by Build-a-Bear (a birthday tradition, she's decided!)

and the ICarly Build-a-Bear… Took Sean 2 minutes to pick his bear and outfit… Kathryn on the other hand, had to check out EVERY bear, and outfit… twice :) before we decided on Carly :)
