New QuicKutz Projects

July 13, 2009 By JulieK

I thought it was time to add a few of the newest QuicKutz projects that I created for the July 2nd release…  I'll add a few more in the next few days… Of course, they all use the wonderful Silhouette (and I just got my latest assignment… the new-upcoming shapes are just as fabulous!! Can't wait to show you those as well!!)

Take a look at this really cool comic strip shape

I took the shape (flipped it sideways) then also cut an offset so that it would have a little frame… I cut the letters also using the Silhouette and the font "StarJedi" The photos are from our trip last summer to Disney for "Star Wars Weekend" What a quick and easy way to fit a lot of photos on a page!

Starwars

Then there's these fun little people shapes… You know me, I love to use things in ways that are different than their intention :) This card was created for Mike's cousin's wedding card (her colors were black, white and red… I had a "thing" for red and black with this release!!).

Here's the card… Some Bazzill Cardstock, and a couple of little jewels, and you have a perfect and easy wedding card.

and the shapes I used:

One more installment in my love of red and black was this door sign… Sean is always trying to get his little sister to stay out of his stuff (unsuccessfully, I might add!!) So, I made this little sign for his door… I used a Zutter Art Canvas cover for the base, and some great new SIlhouette shapes…

Donotenter

I am pretty positive it will not scare his fearless sister out of his room, but it goes nicely with his pirate themed room :)

Here's the shapes:

Have a Silly Day!

April 1, 2009 By JulieK

Here's the card that I created this week for the www.funfrilled.blogspot.com blog, this week's theme was "April Fools" and I have to admit I was a little bit stumped, but finally came up with this little card :)  Check out the awesome work this week by the other ladies at the blog… And there's a HUGE give-away this month as well… I only have one more week as a guest, and I'll be very sad when my "guesting" is over!!! They couldn't be a nicer group of ladies!!  www.funfrilled.blogspot.com

Bind it All Challenge…

March 21, 2009 By JulieK

There's a new challenge posted on the Bind it All Blog!!! Super fun challenge, and fabulous prize!!!  See it HERE on the Bind it All Blog!!

Also… My first 10 projects are en route to QuicKutz :) I'm a nervous wreck!!!  I sooo hope that they will like them… It's so exciting, but I can't share them until the shape release this coming week :)  I can share my very first Silhouette project though :) This fun card was featured on the www.funfrilled.blogspot.com challenge blog last Tuesday… I used a font from my computer (Harrington) and added an "offset" to create the border around the title… I also used many of the shapes that came with the Silhouette…

Baby Fever

December 3, 2008 By JulieK

Not for us :) But for Mike's cousin Kimmy!! We couldn't be more excited for Kimmy and Blue and the little peanut!!! The baby shower was last weekend, and here's what I made…

A Matching gift bag and card, made with some wonderful Heidi Grace papers and cardstock stickers, the QK font is one of my favorites, Maggie Mini :) and a little bit of Bazzill Cardstock.

And… Paper Crafts are not all I can do :) I crocheted this wonderfully soft blankie to go with in the bag… It was a new pattern, but worked up pretty quickly, I just LOVE how it came out! I've just recently made another blankie for a friend who's also due about the same time, and I'm on scarf number 6 (it's going to be a handmade Christmas for many people this year!!)
