Oh, yes… I know… I posted a Halloween project last week too!! And, there’s still some space in that class if you’d like to make that BEWARE project! The class is Thursday evening from 6:30 til about 8 and you’ll have the project completely finished by the end of class!! Glitter! Need I say more??
Anyway, I have another Halloween themed project to share this week! The (very simple) tutorial will be featured on the Scrapbook News and Review Blog on Wednesday, but here’s a sneak peek!! Simple materials you probably already have around the house, and I don’t think it took more than 15 minutes to put together!!
Beware! A Halloween Project
And, not just any Halloween project… Sean says this was “the best project you’ve ever made” and when I questioned if there was too much glitter (in my head the shapes were just going to be outlined) he chimed in with “you can never have too much glitter.” Truer words were never spoken buddy :) Kathryn’s favorite is the orange glitter ’cause “it looks like it glows!”
This fun project is my next class at Ink About It in Westford, MA!! Class is next Thursday, October 4th at 6:30 and costs just $25. You just need to bring black ink, liquid glue, pop dots, and your regular favorite adhesive!! If you have a Bind it All, bring it along, if not, that’s OK too, we’ll have mine and the store’s for you to use!! So, now… Take a peek at this Halloween fun!!
There’s super cool We R Memory Keepers patterned paper, Tim Holtz Sizzix dies, book pages, black chipboard, and Martha Stewart glitter!! Did I mention that the glitter on the ghosts is Glow in the dark??? That’s a heaping helping of Awesome sauce right there!
Read: A Book Club Keepsake Book!
I am thrilled to be teaching another class next week at Ink About It in Westford, MA. I love teaching there, and Linda and Lori are super patient with me this time of year when things get crazy with me and the kiddos going back to school!! Here’s some photos of the book that we’ll be making next Thursday evening… Because I am late getting the sample finished, there’s plenty of space in the class!! So, give the store a call if you want to come!! There’s room :)
Last month, several of the ladies in class were talking about the book clubs that they go to, and I thought it would be great to make a book where we could keep a record of the books we read in our various book clubs! So, here’s the basics of the book… Not pictured are the inserts that will tuck into each of the pockets… The idea is that you’d put a little card with the book information into the month that you read the book! Check back after the class to see the inserts (I’ve got to keep something a surprise for the class :)
Here’s the cover…
And the rest of the pages…

Upcoming Zutter Class Summer Beach Mini Book
I am so excited to be teaching this book as a class at Ink About It on Thursday!! I believe that there are still some spaces left, so give the store a call if you’d like to come, or if you’d like the kit! It uses another fabulous paper line by Authentique, and lots of fun little elements (including crushed shells on the cover!!).
The book also features that super cute pinwheel, a cork accent, plus pocket pages and envelope pages on the inside!! Here’s the rest of the book, click on them to see the full images.
You can find the products I used at the store, or online… Affiliate links follow…
Personalized Back to School Notebooks
I’m so excited to have another tutorial posted over at Chic n Savvy Reviews!! The full tutorial can be found HERE, but here’s a peek at the project and the information… I can’t believe that it’s almost Back to School time! Seems like summer just started. Here’s a fun way to ease back into things… I got a couple of the plain black composition notebooks (scored by a friend at Target last year after back to school on clearance, for $0.10, that’s right, 10 cents each!!)
How cute is this?
- Composition Notebook
- Large envelope
- 2 pieces of school themed patterned paper 9 3/4 inches by 6 inches (measure the height of your book)
- 2 pieces of school themed patterned paper 9 3/4 inches by 1 inch )measure the height of your book)
- Scraps of school themed patterned paper
- Letter stickers (if you want to personalize)
I used some BoBunny Patterned papers that I’ve been hoarding for a long time, I loved them, and thought this would be the perfect way to use them!
That’s all you need! Check out the tutorial to see all the details, but this one is easy and super cute! Don’t forget, if you like the project, you can share it via Pinterest using the little “Pin it” button under the image!
Here are some other beautiful BoBunny papers and embellishments (affiliate links included).
