Had a wonderful Easter today… Just wanted to share the little treat bags that I made up for everyone… That shimmery brown paper made perfect "chocolate" bunnies (cut using the Silhouette!!) add a little ribbon and some googley eyes, and you've got a hit :)
Happy Easter!
Rain, Rain, Go Away…
Here's a few pics from about 6 houses downhill from ours… The road was under construction from the last storm that took out half of one lane of the road, and knocked a home off its foundation…
Here's what the road looked like with the water flowing down it while they were trying to fix it…
Here, they built a dam across the road, and diverted the water across the lawn and down into the golfcourse behind…
And here's the view (from a little further uphill) after they diverted the water… yup, those are the water, sewer and gas lines completely exposed by the running water…
Yikes! I've never been so happy that we're at the top end of the hill!!
not quite so “puppy” anymore :)
Jillibean Soup!
If you haven't seen the Jillibean Soup papers (and I also got some of their corrugated alphabets) you're missing out!! These papers are just fabulous!! I got a newsletter from a local scrapbook store that they got these fabulous papers in, and 2 days later I read that Jillibean Soup was having a Design Team Call! What a perfect excuse to "have" to go to the scrapbook store!! They wanted to see 2 layouts/and or/2 cards/ and or/ 1 project… Well, once I got scrapping, I couldn't stop… So, I made everything :) Here's what I came up with… I hope they like them!
This Layout uses the beautiful Jillibean Soup patterned papers, the alphas are cut using QuicKutz Katie and Santa's Workshop, the QuicKutz Grass die, and the Martha Button Punch with a little bit of May Arts twine.
The kids had a FABULOUS time riding around the back yard in their own little car… Jillibean Papers, Jillibean Corrugated Letters, a few little brads and Bazzil Cardstock.
More of those fabulous Corrugated Letters (I bought all the colors the store had :) ), plus a scrap of the Jillibean Soup paper and Kraft… LOVE their Kraft!!
Who could resist those springy papers for a fun birthday card?? Not me :) A little piece of sheer ribbon set off the beautiful Jillibean Soup Patterned Papers!
And… My Favorite… A few pages from a little mini-book for Kathryn's 6th Birthday… Fabulous Jillibean Papers, a ColorBok chipboard book, some Maya butterflies, Prima Felt Flowers, and a package of Junkitz buttons that have been sitting in my craft stuff for years, just waiting for the "right" project :) The fonts on the cover are QuicKutz Rainbow (happy) and Katie (6)
Wish me luck!! I would be just THRILLED beyond measure to be chosen as a part of their team!!
