How sweet is the Making Memories Pitter Patter line??? Just too sweet!!! I was given this line for my August assignment for The Crop Shop, and drove down to drop them off yesterday… Also, very exciting news… The Crop Shop is going to be carrying Zutter products, and I'm going to be teaching classes there as well!! Yeah!! Anyway, here are the 3 layouts and 2 cards that I created using the MM Pitter Patter (boy) line… Photos are my good friend Ryan's Godson :)
Summer Reading
Ever since the Easter Bunny brought me an ipad, I’ve been reading like crazy!!! I’ve always LOVED to read, but finding time to read and getting books has been a challenge… Not now, when someone can recommend a book, and in about 5 seconds (if that) I can purchase, download, and start reading!!! Here’s what I’ve read so far this summer… (The links are affiliate links to Amazon see my disclosures page for more information) So, if you’ve been wondering… here’s the answer to some of “What did you do all summer” :)
Pretty interesting behind the scenes view of the last presidential election… Thought it was an entertaining and interesting read… Didn’t take too long either :)
I found this very fast read HIGHLY entertaining… I love the quasi-sci-fi books, like the Harry Potter books, and just loved this one… Gonna get the others as well… Just haven’t yet…
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book… could hardly set it down, even though it isn’t a “happy” book, I just thought it was wonderful!
Hmmmm… I didn’t love this one… I thought it was just OK… The main character didn’t seem as scattered as I’d expect, and it just didn’t go where I wanted… I’m not sad I read it, but it’s not one I’d personally tell anyone to buy…
OMG… I read this book a million years ago, but wanted to read his newer one World Without End… So, I decided to reread this one… I’m so glad I did!! It was one of my all-time favorite books, and still is… it’s not all rainbows and sunshine… but the story’s so good, it doesn’t matter that it’s not all happy :) So glad I decided to read it again, and also glad I read it before World Without End… I don’t think it’s necessary to read them together, but I certainly set the mood!!
Yup… LOVED it… I don’t think I loved it quite as much as the first one, BUT thought it was great!! Another “couldn’t bear to put it down” book :)
Didn’t expect to love this… but totally did!!! It was recommended on a scrappy blog that I frequent, so I bought it… It starts with a kind-of (well, very) sad part of the story… And, you know me… I don’t like sad stories!!! BUT it is just a wonderful story from there… Really, don’t miss this one… I’d recommend it to anyone!!
What’s next?? I’m not sure… I have a couple of samples of books in my reader… we’ll have to see, the next couple weeks are pretty busy…
Easter
Here's a layout that I did recently… My friend Ryan teased me because it uses my QuicKutz Revolution, my new baby bug Cricut, AND my QuicKutz Silhouette :) It's Die Cutting Overload :) The papers are Bo Bunny… as are the brads :) Orange is my favorite color, and these papers make me oh so happy!!! I still have a ton of this paper, but I've been hoarding it 'cause it's my favorite :) I'll have 3 more layouts to share tomorrow, as I'm dropping them off at The Crop Shop today (they were this month's DT work)
A fun and easy card
I like to have a stash of ready to go cards… That way, when I realize that I am about to miss someone's birthday, or I need a quick congratulations, or feel better card, then I have something I can use right away! There isn't a sentiment on the card yet, 'cause I'm not sure where it's going to go :) The pretty flowers are cut out of beautiful American Crafts patterned papers, and then I used a quick scallop punch and a couple of gems :)
Email… Should I Check Again??
I've been obsessively checking my email… Hoping to get one from a certain manufacturer that I'd love to create for… I'm positive at this point that they've already contacted their new designers, but until they're posted I can play the "what if" game in my head :) So, as I'm obsessively checking my emails again, I get one from Zutter advertising a sale on their FAB Cover Alls… I LOVE Cover Alls :) Anyway, I'm scanning through the email, and WOW! HEY!! That's MY project that they have included as an example :) I so loved my time on the Zutter Design Team, and am thrilled to be able to still create the occasional project for them… Having my project included in their promotional email just made my day… And made the obsessive email checking worth it :) Here's a pic of the project that they used :)
