Happy 4th of July!!! In honor of the holiday… And, my upcoming class :) Here’s a replay of this month’s Zutter Class at Ink About It in Westford… We’ll be making this beautiful book on Thursday, July 21 I hope you can join us!! The book uses Bo Bunny’s fabulous Liberty line… And CAN be 4th of July specific, but also can be just Summer Fun!! Contact the store if you’re interested!!
Thankful Wednesday?? Happy Birthday Sean!!!
Ok… Yes, I know it’s Summer Vacation… And, it’s easy to lose track of the days… BUT I haven’t totally lost my mind… I do know that it’s only Wednesday… BUT it’s a very special Wednesday… And, I thought it warranted a special Thankful Wednesday post :) 10 years ago today, Sean was born!!! I have NO IDEA how it’s possible that it was 10 years ago… I mean, double digits??? I am totally NOT old enough to have a child in double digits… oh, wait… yes, yes I am THAT old :) I could not be more thankful for my “little” boy… Who, by the way, has never been “little” by any stretch of the imagination… Arriving almost a whole week early, and weighing in at 8 lbs, 11 oz… He’s always had a very large presence!! We couldn’t love him more than we do!! A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my first baby!!!
To celebrate… Here’s a favorite picture of him, about 10 months old… Just look at those cheeks, don’t you just want to reach through the screen and pinch them!!! I love roly-poly babies :)
And a photo from last week… How time flies… and I fear it only goes faster from here… Less pinchable cheeks, but can you resist that smile?? I’m gonna pinch his cheeks today anyway… Just for his special double digit birthday!!!! He’ll LOVE that :)
Very Happy Birthday Buddy!!! We love you!!
Made for Monday (June 27)
Another completely random project… But, I was at Ink About It in Westford, dropping off my July sample for Zutter Class a while ago, and when I turned around to leave, I saw the Little Yellow Bicycle Summer papers… Those lemonade colors made me buy them :) It wasn’t my fault!! Anyway, I HAD to make this little envelope book with them… It’s 5 envelopes put together, and I tucked index cards in the pockets, so there’s room for pictures, and also plenty of room for notes :) A great little summer journal…
Here’s the cover with the little belly band holding it shut…
Here is the front without the band on…
And one of the inside pages…
Thinking about making this a kids class at Late Night Croppers toward the end of July… I have enough of the paper (and if I don’t do a class with it, you all will call me a hoarder :) So, if you have a kiddo between about 5-9ish, let me know if you’d be interested!
Thankful Thursday (June 23)
Happy Summer Vacation!!! Do I need to say more?? I’m so looking forward to not having to get up at 5am and rush around like a crazy person all day, only to get about half of what I wanted to get done, done!! Yeah!! Kids last day of school was last Friday… Mine was Monday… We’re all happy to have some down time!!! The garden is going gangbusters… We’ve already had spinach and lettuce, and the strawberries are completely out of control this year!! I sense that we’ll be spending a good portion of our summer as farmers, we have a TON more stuff coming up :) Happy Summer!!
Here’s a pic of Farmer Kathryn with the big bin of strawberries that she picked in our own back yard!
And… Here they are all cleaned and ready to eat!! Sweet and delicious!!
Made for Monday (June 20)
I talked on Thursday about how much I love the kids’ school :) and last week showed you what I made for all the specialist teachers… For their main teachers (remember, it’s Catholic school), I purchased each one a beautiful rosary bracelet from Graceful Rosaries (which I’ve talked about before… if you’re looking for beautiful religious jewelry or rosaries, please check her out… I’ve purchased a total of 6 adult rosary bracelets, and also had her make a tenner for Sean and a small matching bracelet for Kathryn… Beautiful work). Ok… So, I got them each a beautiful bracelet, they each got the little desk set that the other teachers got… And, I made each of them this little card box… It’s just like the one I created for the Cards for the Cure event back in May, but I used Studio Calico patterned papers… I ACTUALLY used papers that I bought, for the reason that I bought them!!! Now, I may have to go and buy more so that I can hoard it :) Here’s the boxes and the cards that I made for them…
