I’ve often talked about my seasonal craftiness :) I sew in the summer when I can leave my sewing machine out on the kitchen table and sew… But, in the fall and winter, it’s all about the yarn!! Last winter was my season of “knit” but my heart has always been a crocheter!! Here’s my first crochet project of the yarn season… I saw the pattern and had to have it, the pattern is the Collette Poncho pattern by Jenny King Designs. I loved the pattern, and realized when I got about half way through that I didn’t actually follow the pattern… The pattern calls for SC, and I used DC throughout… but I LOVE it :) In fact, I’m almost done with one in blues as well!! The pics are from my phone, so not super crisp… I love the cowl neck, it’s so very comfy!! This one uses 4 balls of Red Heart Boutique Treasure yarn in the Abstract colorway… Oh, the fall colors!!!
Here’s a link where you can see the yarn I used for this one.

Oh, this is beautiful! The colors are just perfect for the season! I’d love to have you link up with me at The Southern Institute if you have the time for another link up. Here’s the link: http://thesoutherninstitute.com/2012/10/creative-me-linky-party-7.html/
I hope to see you there!

How pretty! What type of yarn did you use? I don’t Facebook, nor do I want too, so I can only just look at Jenny King Designs’ “Main Page” and can’t get any details. I am an Intermediate Knitter and I am “trying” to learn how to Crochet, but my fingers are a bit slow (and re-training my brain is hard). I am planning on attending the Fiber Festival, on Saturday: 11/3, at the Eastern States Expo (for the first time and on a bus provided by The Woolpack in Acton, MA). I am also signed up for my “first” Basic Crochet Hat Class starting on 11/12 at The Woolpack.

Hi Kathleen!! You could definitely make this!! you only need to chain and single crochet to follow the directions, or chain and double crochet if you’re like me and don’t read carefully. I’ll update the post, but the website is http://www.jennykingdesigns.com/ for the non facebook page :) I used Red Heart Boutique Treasure yarn, in the “Abstract” colorway…
