I am thrilled to be teaching another class next week at Ink About It in Westford, MA. I love teaching there, and Linda and Lori are super patient with me this time of year when things get crazy with me and the kiddos going back to school!! Here’s some photos of the book that we’ll be making next Thursday evening… Because I am late getting the sample finished, there’s plenty of space in the class!! So, give the store a call if you want to come!! There’s room :)
Last month, several of the ladies in class were talking about the book clubs that they go to, and I thought it would be great to make a book where we could keep a record of the books we read in our various book clubs! So, here’s the basics of the book… Not pictured are the inserts that will tuck into each of the pockets… The idea is that you’d put a little card with the book information into the month that you read the book! Check back after the class to see the inserts (I’ve got to keep something a surprise for the class :)
Here’s the cover…
And the rest of the pages…

Julie, What a great idea! I just LOVE it!! I was also wondering if there is space in their to record my “These Are The Books That I Want To Read Wish List”? Lord knows that this list can get long, so little time and so many books that I want to read, or where I could tuck in those scraps of paper where I write down a book recommendation from one of my friends that I have got to read in the future?
Also, why not take this book (and change the wording on the front) and make it a Birthday/Anniversary/Special Days Book (to keep track of them all). I bet my Husband would just LOVE this, since it would make his life so much easier trying to remember all those special days! Hint, Hint!!
Or this would be a great gift to give a new family member (Sister-in-Law say) that would like to not forget anyone’s Birthday’s (and start off on the right foot). You could jot down the dates for them, and you could tuck some hand-made cards right inside, and they could flip open to that month (and mail them right out). Yeah, convenience right at their finger tips!
I am thinking of making one of these for my “young adult” sons, and they will have no excuses to forget someone’s birthday. Us Mother’s have got to do what we have got to do!

I’m so glad you like it Kathleen!! That’s a great idea, and I talked to Linda today and we’ll have several different title options available (and different inserts too) for the class.
