oh my goodness!! Well, you can't ever accuse us of doing something half-way :) Yesterday I was in the car, riding home from the American Girl Store and Bistro where Kathryn, Maureen and I had a fabulous lunch and shopping spree… Mike called my cell phone, and simply asked "How much does Sean weigh?" I told him, and he said thanks and hung up… hmmmm… cryptic :)
So, we got home, and here comes Mike and Sean in the newest contraption… It's a "trail bike" which is essentially a small bike (just back wheel) that hooks to the larger bike and works almost like a bicycle-built-for-two, but for an adult and child… My bike is among the missing, so we went and got me a bike and a trail bike for Kathryn too…
Today we went to the Nashua River Rail Trail… It's a fabulous paved trail that follows an old railroad line… Lots of space for walkers, runners, rollerbladers, bikers and horses too!!! and because we don't ever do something half-way, wound up riding 15 miles total (I can't feel my legs, but I think they'll be OK later :) )… Kathryn was pretty unsure about the whole thing in the beginning, and I'm pretty sure she didn't move her feet on the pedals even once… BUT it was so much fun!! Here's just a couple of pics from my phone…
Getting ready to take off… THat's my fabulous new bike, and Kathryn's ride-along :)
Kathryn on her seat behind me (we weren't moving at the time :) I'm not that coordinated!)
Sean and Mike ready to go
