There are lots of bloggers that I follow, and one of my favorites is Kayla Aimee. I started following her story way back when she was “just” a fellow scrapbooker on 2peas. I followed her more when she became pregnant and then gave birth to a micro-premie and was especially touched that throughout her entire story she found strength in prayer. I love her story, and was so excited when I found out that she was writing a book!! And, that Scarlette?? Oh my heck, that little one is spunky!! I love to read her stories!!
I couldn’t wait to go to the store to get a copy of the book myself!! (please excuse the “I’m on summer vacation wash and brush, but don’t bother to blow dry” hair). It took me just two days to read the book, I couldn’t put it down… I loved it… I did cry, but that’s just me :) I always cry… Happy and sad… it’s what I do! I love that the story is told with love and humor, even the hard parts.
Click on the link below to go to her website and order the book with some extras (unless you can’t wait and need to go to the store and pick it up yourself like I did).
This post was inspired by Kayla Aimee’s new book, Anchored: Finding Hope in the Unexpected. Order your copy of #AnchoredHope today and receive this printable as a free gift by clicking here!
Ultimate Bundles
I take a LOT of pictures… Last year, my blog project featured a photo a week, with a bible scripture included… and my blog “theme” is to “Embrace the Everyday”…
It’s SO important to savor it all… to relish those moments. But you know what’s equally important, if you ask me? To be able to look back and relish those moments all over again. A month from now. A year from now. Fifty years from now. I love to look back at all those pictures… I leave them on my phone, and I scroll through all the time :)
And that’s where photographs come in. These days, it’s so easy to get snap-happy at a moment’s notice: we just reach into our purses for our smartphones or cameras and start clicking away at anything and everything.
The problem is… it’s so easy for those photos to come out badly! You think you’ve taken a wonderful picture of your beautiful boy standing by himself for the first time, but actually you’ve managed to capture the moment when he falls down and starts wailing! You think you’ve snapped a stunning image of a horse galloping along the beach, but actually it’s just a dark blob against an overexposed background. You think you’ve achieved the perfect shot of your wonderful parents laughing together on their anniversary, but you take a look and you’ve managed to capture… a blur.
If you can relate, I have good news for you! My friends Ryan and Steph at Ultimate Bundles have put together an incredible product to help with your photography woes. It’s called The Ultimate Digital Photography Bundle (Beginner’s Edition), and it contains a curated collection of ebooks and video training guides to help you become a better photographer.
All the resources have been provided by professional, world-renowned photographers who are experts in teaching others – even complete beginners. You won’t need to switch up to a more expensive camera to make full use of the bundle (even if you just use your iPhone for photographs), and you don’t need to neglect your family for weeks upon weeks of training! You can learn everything in little chunks – whenever you have a spare moment.
There’s even better news! Everything in the bundle has a combined total value of $555, but for this week only, The Ultimate Bundles Team is selling the entire bundle for just $37 – a discount of more than 90%! What’s more, they’re also throwing in a FREE copy of FX Photo Studio Pro software from MacPhun (which provides stunning filters and photography effects) worth $29.99!
Click here to buy The Ultimate Digital Photography Bundle (Beginner’s Edition) for just $37.
No blurriness, no exposure nightmares, no bad angles. Just perfect, happy memories!

Dear Market Basket Employees,
I have 3 words to say to you all…
You.Are.Awesome
You’re not a just a group of employees, you’re not a union, you’re a family. When your family was torn apart, you banded together to fight back. It’s never been done before, a group of workers fighting FOR their former CEO. I would dare to say that 99.99999999999% of you cannot afford to lose hours, most of you are probably not able to make those ends meet for very long without hours and pay, and yet you are still standing up for what you believe in. As a family, we’ve been to the rallies, and we’ll support you as much as we can… But I wanted to come out and say “WOW” you are awesome! Thank you for reminding us that it’s collectively possible to stand up for what you believe in and do it in a positive way! I know that growing up in this area, most of my friends and I all worked at Market Basket at some point in our lives, and we shop there regularly, mostly just to support a well run mostly local business… But, except to attend rallies, we won’t be back to Market Basket until there’s a positive resolution for the people who work there. I just hope for your sake that the powers that be come to their senses sooner rather than later. They are driving their business into the ground, and seem to not care even a little bit… It’s very sad to see them throw away everything that has been built up. Stay Strong!! We support you!!
After coming home from the last rally, this is what I saw on the kitchen table… The kids making their own “kid sized” signs to carry at the next rally!!
Oh, and I just wanted to also send an FYI to the current members of the Tewksbury Board of Selectmen. We are politically involved in town, and are embarrassed by your lack of support for the Market Basket employees. It would be a Win-Win situation for you to support the local people who are standing up to corporate greed. There is NO downside… Do you really think that Artie S will vote for any of you? or that the greed culture of the current board will send lots of $ toward the town of Tewksbury? Supporting the local workers would ONLY help the town, but none of you have the gumption that the non-elected employees have. So, I’m putting it out there right now… PLEASE do not call us for support during the next election, as you will not get it. We will not make a donation to your campaigns (we’re donating to any of the Market Basket workers that we can), we will not attend YOUR rallies (too busy attending rallies of people actually willing to stand up for something), and we certainly will not put your campaign signs in our yard. You all should be ashamed of yourselves, and maybe take a lesson from those workers who cannot afford to do so, but are standing up for what they believe in.
