Well… A kinda modified Project 365 :) I can't simply just order a kit :) So, I decided that I LOVED the idea of a photo a day, and I have enough scrap supplies to scrap for years… So I made my own… Thankfully 'cause there were HUGE problems ordering the kit today, and apparently it sold out in something like 20 minutes… I'm very glad I had already decided (and completed all the cutting an planning) for mine… I would have been so disappointed had I wanted it and couldn't get it…
Anyway, the basic idea is a "year in the life" kind of album where you take a photo every single day… Here's mine… We welcomed in the new year with 8 inches of very fluffy (and blowing around) snow!!!
Here's the preview of my album as well… I used a plain white (with clear pocket, so I can customize it when I get a chance) binder that I got at Staples, and then bought the baseball card holders at Walmart to use for pics and journal cards (each of the 9 pockets on the page are 2.5×3.75) I cut 365 journal blocks out of cream colored cardstock that I had on hand, and then used a bunch of stamps that I'd been hoarding to stamp on about 200 of them… the rest I'll customize as I need something specific… For the start of each month I will use an 8.5×11 page protector and make a "month" title and on the back print a calendar with special events highlighted… Here it is so far…
The blank notebook
the "January" title page (using Basic Grey Paper, Bazzill Cardstock, my new Martha Stewart "doily" punch, and my QuicKutz month set (January)…
The first "week" which is only actually 4 days :) I will be going M-Su, 'cause I like the 2 weekend days to be together… Just have to add the pictures as I go along (I'll be printing 2 days on a single 4×6 print to make it even easier!!)
The first slot will say "Week of" and the dates… The remaining weeks will be a 2 page spread, with 7 photo places, 7 journal spaces, a "week of" space and then 3 spaces left over for either additional pics, or just pretty coordinating papers!
